A native San Franciscan and graduate of U.C. Berkeley, Ellen has lived in Ithaca with her husband, raising their children, for more than a decade. While part of her heart may still be in the Bay Area, she's proud to call Ithaca her home. "Ithaca is a great place to live, work and raise a family," Ellen says. "In every corner you find incredibly supportive networks that make a busy life so much more manageable. My passion is helping others find just the right place to live in this wonderful community."

Ellen brings a wide range of skills to her work in real estate sales. She began her career as an investigative journalist in San Francisco and moved on to work as a newspaper reporter in Venezuela, a writer for the Ann Arbor Observer, a community aide in University of Michigan's Family Housing, the president of the Belle Sherman Elementary School PTA, and, before embarking on a career in real estate, she worked as a community development planner for the Ithaca Urban Renewal Agency. In all her jobs, she has combined a love of housing and community with a devotion to helping others, traits that suit her extremely well in her work with Audrey Edelman RealtyUSA.

When she's not selling property, Ellen enjoys spending time with her family hiking and biking around the Finger Lakes, swimming in the gorges, and telling stories. She unwinds through yoga, reading and writing short fiction. Her husband Jim is a librarian at Cornell's Mann Library. She has two Ithaca High graduates now off in college, one at HIS and one at LACS. As a family they are all active members of St. Catherine of Siena parish. Ellen looks forward to helping you find a place to call home in Ithaca.
