Kathy Hopkins and her husband Carl, a Professor of Neurobiology and Behavior at Cornell University, raised their two children in Ithaca. They are members of the First Unitarian Church and are avid athletes who enjoy the plentiful local access to great cross-country skiing, biking, swimming, hiking, and sailing. Although the Hopkins family has traveled the world and lived in France, Belgium, Guyana, Ghana, Senegal, Gabon, California, and Minnesota, they are home in Ithaca.
