"We were modern day pioneers… coming from New York City and California, we knew nothing about country living but had heard that ITHACA is GORGES!" Since that time Johanna has made Ithaca home, initially teaching elementary school and changing careers to enter Real Estate.

"I've worked in real estate for twenty-nine years now and find it very exciting. The people I meet in this profession represent backgrounds as diverse as the Ithaca community itself." Johanna’s interests display an abiding concern for the vitality of the community - the Sciencenter Advisory Board, the Ithaca Area United Jewish Communities, the Ithaca Reform Temple and Ithaca Business and Professional Women. She is a past President of the Ithaca Board of REALTORS and has served as a director for the State Association of REALTORS. An Associate Broker, Johanna holds CRS, GRI, and SRES Designations. She was Realtor® of the Year in 1985.

Along with selling real estate Johanna has invested in several Ithaca properties and has completed seven renovation and restoration projects. "I have a good eye for potential and have been able to invest wisely. Allow me to help you do the same."

Johanna, like so many other Finger Lakes area residents, enjoys sailing as well as both cross-country and downhill skiing. When relaxing, she can be found doing aerobics, yoga, gardening, quilting, knitting, photography and watercolors. While on vacation Johanna enjoys world travel.
